1. Information we process
You can use the dictionaries without creating an account. We do not ask visitors to submit names, addresses or payment information to search the site. When you visit, standard technical information may be processed automatically, including IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps and interactions with site features.
If you email us, we receive the email address, message and any information you choose to include. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.
2. Cookies, consent and similar technologies
SlangScope uses Consentmanager to display and record consent choices where required. Depending on your location and selections, cookies or similar technologies may support essential operation, audience measurement, security, preferences and advertising. 3. Google Analytics and Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated website activity such as visited pages, device categories and referral sources. Google Tag Manager helps deploy and manage approved website tags. 4. Advertising and Google AdSense
SlangScope may use Google AdSense and other advertising partners to fund the website. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on a visitor’s browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies as a result of ad serving. Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites, subject to applicable consent and privacy settings.
Visitors can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Additional industry opt-out information may be available from YourAdChoices. Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all advertising.
5. Dictionary and external services
The English Dictionary may request definitions from FreeDictionaryAPI and English Wiktionary. When your browser contacts an external service, that provider may receive technical request information such as IP address and browser details. External sites and services operate under their own privacy terms.

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security and enforcing agreements. Retention periods used by third-party providers are controlled by their respective settings and policies.
8. Children’s privacy
SlangScope is a general-audience educational reference and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site has no public profiles or user-posting features. If you believe a child has provided personal information by email, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or information about certain personal-data processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although some site functions may be affected.

10. Policy changes
We may update this policy when services, laws or practices change. The revised date will appear at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the website where appropriate.
